This story is about where your own data exists and how it is tracked and targeted. If that scares you, I suggest you do not watch this film. This film uses the Cambridge Analytica scandal to illustrate data mining and algorithms to that threat our individual liberties. More and more I hear the world algorithm thrown around today and one of the central themes is about how algorithms surround us and make us. The film also is about how Cambridge Analytica used Facebook and other data to intervene in the 2016 presidential election to nominate former President Trump. This film did a great job highlighting the invisible data that we do not see or are accustomed to seeing and how it impacts our lives, elections, and the morality of the data.
